| Primary Alcotex grades have enjoyed over 35 years of sustained growth within the PVC industry. The grade range includes higher molecular weight high hydrolysis grades, (Alcotex 80 and Alcotex 8847), as well as the market leading Alcotex 72.5 and B72 grades. As well as polyvinyl alcohols, Synthomer also supplies cellulose ether based grades and has the most complete grade range of any supplier. | | |

| Secondary Alcotex grades with degrees of hydrolysis or around 50% were developed by Synthomer in order to enhance the porosity of PVC and enable rapid and easy removal of unreacted vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) as well as improve compounding performance. | ||
